Month of April For Victorian Candle and Brictoria Cottage

Guests of the Victorian Candle and Brictoria Cottage, will not be disappointed with spending an April weekend at one of these great MBBA establishments. Victorian Candle located in St. Mary’s County and Brictoria Cottage in Charles county, not only allow for a quiet weekend getaway, but also are close to some great events and activities in the month of April.

St. Mary’s County is featuring an antique flea market and a classic car show. The Maryland Antique Center in Leonardtown is hosting a flea market on April 18th and 19th starting at 8am. The antique flea market will run rain or shine and is located at 26005 Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown, MD. Leonardtown is also the Spring Fling Car Show on Sunday April 26h starting at 8am. Over 300 antique and classic cars will be showcased at Leonardtown Square, with proceeds benefiting the hospice of St. Mary’s.

Charles County is hosting a once in a lifetime historical experience. The Lincoln 150 On The Trail of the Assassin Commemoration Weekend runs from April 17th-19th. Follow the escape path of the infamous John Wilkes Booth as he fled from authorities after assassinating the beloved 16th President of the United States. There are plenty of unique and informative events running all weekend long. Including a historical Charles County in the Civil War lecture and a global view of Booth’s escape path using digital dome and science on a sphere technology. There will also be historical re-enactments, shows, music, and historical excavations all throughout the weekend.
