End of February in the Southern Region

January 29th, 2015 by Maryland B&B Association

Calvert County Restaurant Week and a one of a kind Maryland wine experience, are just two things for guests staying in our Southern Region B&Bs to enjoy.  Guests of Solomons Victorian Inn, Back Creek Inn, and Victorian Candle Bed and Breakfast, will be able to enjoy these two great activities during the final two weeks of February.

Calvert County Restaurant Week runs from 2/20-3/1 and 38 restaurants are participating. Enjoy special restaurant week menus for both lunch and dinner. Participating restaurants feature all types of cuisine including steakhouses, Italian, Asian, and Mexican. Visit the restaurant week website for a list of participating restaurants and their lunch and dinner menus.

The Maryland Wine Passport Experience is a unique and interactive tour of Maryland’s best vineyards and wineries. The tour is self guided and takes place during the last two weekends in February from 12-5 pm. Tickets for the wine experience are $27 and the tickets are good for both weekends. The wine experience is broken up into 6 Maryland wine trails: Antietam Highlands, Carroll, Chesapeake, Frederick, Patuxent, and Piedmont. MBBA members, Back Creek Inn and Solomons Victorian Inn, are participating in the Patuxent Trail portion of the experience. Back Creek Inn will offer guests participating in the event 50% off their 2nd night stay. While Solomons Victorian Inn is offering 20% off to guests participating in the wine tour. Tickets include: access to all participating wineries for both weekends, complimentary wine tasting at each winery, souvenir wine glasses, 10% off all wine purchased on the trail, and much more. Some wineries will offer food or chocolate pairings with the wine tastings as well as other special activities. For more information and FAQ visit the Maryland Wine Passport Experience website.
