Maryland Bed and Breakfast Association Announces Website Relaunch
The Maryland Bed and Breakfast Association (MBBA) has announced the re-launch of their website. Developed with the input of the MBBA membership, the improved site offers new features designed to increase visitation and bookings for Maryland inns, enhance user experience, and improve the site’s aesthetics.
MBBA, which began in 1992, redesigned the site to attract more visitors to Maryland inns through updated content and streamlined navigation. The WordPress-designed site allows MBBA Members access to customize their individual profiles, upload and resize photos and update special offers at their inns. It has a direct RSS feed to the Maryland Department of Tourism Development allowing visitors to see current events on the State’s calendar. In addition to the calendar, visitors can link to other Maryland association that have interesting member events like wineries, craft brewers and others.
Members can also write about special events unique to their inns and post them on the Blog and Facebook page. An “Innkeeper’s Corner” has links to helpful vendors, e.g., Insurance Services United, Bushnell and Bushnell (a licensed real estate broker offering nationwide innkeeping consulting and valuation services), and information from BnBFinder.
MBBA is a non-profit organization whose members are owners of small inns, guest houses and bed & breakfasts. MBBA inns are inspected for health, safety and appearance by an independent inspector, and must comply with all state and local regulations.
